Regulatory authorities
EMEA – The European Medicines Agency, which oversees the regulation of
all new pharmaceutical products for human and veterinary use within the EU, as
well as new production
technologies. Click current

on this document were invited by EMEA and have been submitted by Pharma-Planta.
The consultation period concluded on 31st March 2007.
EFSA – The European Food Safety Authority, which also advises on the
use of genetically-modified plants as production platforms for non-food
products. Several members of Pharma-Planta sit on the EFSA
self-tasking working group
focusing on the above.
